Jobs pledge

Cussins expects to create 500 jobs in the next four years on the back of ambitious expansion plans. A £5m investment from the Business Growth Fund (BGF) will support the acquisition of land and the development of up to 300 new homes every year for the next four years.  Most job opportunities will be in construction, with the remainder being office-based.

Already, Cussins has around a dozen sites in the pipeline, in Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
“The growth fund has given us a significant boost, allowing us to speed up our expansion plans,” said Cussins’ chief executive Jabin Cussins.

“But this doesn’t mean we’re going to be churning out 800 homes a year. Our focus is on growing steadily to around 250 homes a year. “What we’re focused on is the longevity of Cussins. That means making sure our build and design is of the very highest quality so our homes stand the test of time for many years to come.”
