Design Engineer / Graduate Engineer

Alnwick

Negotiable depending on experience

Cussins Ltd seek an experienced Design Engineer / Graduate Engineer to join their successful and growing team.

 

As an Engineer you will be an integral part of the Technical department, reporting to the Technical Manager who will support you and develop you in the way Cussins operate.

 

Your role as Engineer will be to support a number of housing developments from concept to completion through the delivery of cost effective engineering solutions. You will need to be adaptable and strong in your approach to managing external consultants.

 

Your responsibilities / experience:

Experience using AutoCAD (preferable)

Sound knowledge of Engineering Principals Managing Consultants Identifying site Constraints early and providing cost effective solutions

Day to day management and submission of planning applications

Technical/ Commercial Administrator

£16,000 - £19,000 dependent on experience

Technical / Commercial Administrator

Cussins are recruiting a Technical / Commercial Administrator to support the team’s with the delivery of residential new build projects from initial conception through to the development completion.

This role has the potential to expand and would suit a candidate looking to develop their career.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Provide technical administrative support to the technical & Commercial teams
  • Manage, coordinate and document the distribution of all technical drawings, including preparation of pre-start site and sales construction drawings files
  • Coordination of existing an proposed utilities
  • Control the registration of Building Regulations and warranty applications and co-ordinate subsequent requests for additional information
  • Arranging for new postal addresses with Local Authorities
  • Assist with the collation of relevant supporting housetype quotations and registrations (eg. SAPs, robust details, etc.)
  • To ensure digital and paper copy filing is kept up to date for the Technical team inc. archiving
  • Take notes/minutes at scheduled meetings
  • Processing wages for weekly paid site staff
  • Processing and managing the client extras for Sales / commercial
  • Be flexible to take on ad hoc duties to suit needs of the team

 

Skills/Experience

  • Experience of working in a secretarial/admin role
  • Good level of communication skills, with the necessity to liaise with internal staff and external bodies
  • Ability to generate professional correspondence unaided
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Knowledge of the house building industry preferred but not essential

 

This role will attract a salary of between £16,000 – £19,000, dependent on experience.
