A positive result for home buyers

The Government has announced changes to Stamp Duty- effective immediately.

• No stamp duty to pay on the first £250,000 of a property’s value, up from £125,000.
• First-time buyers will pay no stamp duty on homes worth £425,000, up from £300,000.
• The value of the property on which first-time buyers can claim relief increased, from £500,000 to £625,000.
