These homes are being offered at reduced prices to ensure that they represent unrivalled value for money and are as accessible as possible. This community led initiative will last until the 1st of April 2011 at which point they will be made available to all purchasers at market value.

To be eligible for priority purchaser status you must fulfil one or more of the following criteria;

• You have had your main home for at least the last two years within the area of the former Castle Morpeth Borough Council.
• You are or will be employed within  the area of the former Castle Morpeth Borough Council.
• You have retired from employment within the area of the former Castle Morpeth Borough Council.
• Your employment provides services or employs persons living in the area of the former Castle Morpeth Borough Council and who consequently need to live in the area.
• You have long-standing social connections to former Castle Morpeth Borough Council. This includes the children of persons living within the area.
